About This Programme:
The Holocaust Educational Trust aims to educate every person from every background about the history of the Holocaust and the important lessons we can learn for today. In the past year, 400 organisations have partnered with the Trust through a nation-wide free Outreach Programme. Survivor testimony and sharing family experiences is at the heart of all Holocaust education. Hearing from a witness allows us to put a human face to one of the darkest periods of history.
The Trust is able to offer in-person or online testimony sessions with a Holocaust survivor or member of the Second Generation (the children of Holocaust survivors). Your group will be able to hear one hour of testimony before asking their own questions. Preparatory and debrief materials accompany every session and our online lessons are led by one of the Trust’s trained facilitators.
Note:
- This delivery is appropriate for ages 13+ only
- January is the busiest month due to Holocaust Memorial Day. This means it may not be possible to fulfil all requests around this period and so it is encouraged you consider other times in the year in the interest of confirming deliveries.
LFE has no formal agreement with this organisation and is not responsible for this delivery or any wider services. This is a signpost to a no-cost opportunity that has been deemed safe enough to raise such awareness.
