About This Programme:
Developing young people’s reading and writing skills with Sunday Times bestselling author, Dan Freedman. Dan is best known for his hugely popular series of Jamie Johnson football novels, which have helped many reluctant readers to engage with literacy. Having watched the adapted BBC series, Jude Bellingham commented: “I almost feel like I am Jamie Johnson now.”
He has interviewed the likes of Messi and Ronaldo, was also part of the official delegations to meet Queen Elizabeth II, two Prime Ministers and Nelson Mandela.
When not writing, Dan gives inspirational talks, covering his journey of rejection and success. His mission is to encourage a love of reading and writing and an understanding of how far your words can take you.
